About Me
University of Pennsylvania, MSW, LCSW
University of Arizona, BA, Teaching, Secondary Education, Social Studies
My career began working with adolescents and adults struggling with addictions to drugs and alcohol. As a Family Therapist in a residential treatment center, I used education, therapy, support and 12 step programs to treat substance abusers. These techniques were also used as Director of Outpatient Programming. I also had the opportunity to work in Correctional Facilities providing individual and group treatment to prisoners. In 1990, I became the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Professional at the Horse Racing Tracks in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
In 2000, I opened a Private Practice in Langhorne Boro, PA. This became an opportunity to provide personal, private and individualized care in a comfortable office. Here I provide mental health treatment for children, teens and adults. Some of the problems I handle are depression and anxiety, school and work stresses, parenting obstacles, separation and divorce, grief issues, along with many other problems.
Through my Private Practice, I collaborate with schools, give presentations to communities, parents and teen groups and help train new professionals coming into the Mental Health field. Currently, I’m writing a book for parents about Setting Healthy Limits for Children and Teens.
My desire is to support and help people in their desire to feel better.
